After nearly fifty years of traveling via tents and campers and caravans - more than 900,000 kms around Australia - the time has come for a change.
As most followers will know, our last few tours have been problematic, owing to the back injury Sue has carried for years. Our last trip out was cut short after just three weeks, when an aggravation of the long term problem forced our return home. For months afterwards Sue had to have traction and special exercises as she gradually rebuilt her back.
So we have had to make the hard decision to make a change.
Our beloved 2016 Avan Cruiseliner - our second - is on the market and once it is sold, we'll be changing cars from our third consecutive Forester (and our fifth Subaru) and making a move which is inline with our views on the environment. We'll be staying with the brand that has served us so well and be one of the first in rural NSW to own a Subaru Solterra - the new all electric SUV that has been a joint project between Subaru and Toyota.
We'll still tour but from now on it will be in static accommodation at the venue.
