Cardwell to Townsville

The travellers are of little importance tonight.

As I write this, our eldest son Chris, is on stage in the lead role of Mickey on the opening night of "Blood Brothers". The youngest son, Sam, is in the orchestra pit playing bass in his debut for the Tamworth Musical Society. To say we are proud parents tonight is to massively understate the case.

Its a long way from community halls in Wongwibinda and Tambar Springs or the stages of the Gunnedah Eisteddfod but every step of the way, these two blokes have earned their chops and tonight, folks in black ties and fancy dresses will have a chance to appreciate just how talented our two sons are.

Congratulations lads. We love you both so very much.

As parents, we have been three times blessed.

We moved on to Townsville today and will stay there for a few nights, no doubt catching up with Jim and Judy Parsons again.
