I resisted for as much of the day as I could. I slept late in my motel room in Glen Innes (I was too tired to drive on after tea last night) and stopped at Guyra (for breakfast) and Uralla (for morning tea). At Uralla, I met lovely lady over coffee who purchased a copy of Six Nines from me after I read her a poem.
The final 85kms were difficult, although Sue was a constant encouragement with offers of lunch once I arrived. Don't take it personally Tamworth.
The trick now will be adjust without changing. At the moment, I feel these five delicious weeks have put the square back on my peg and Tamworth just looms as round holes.
