Day 34 - Parkna Point, Coorong NP

The first half of the day was most pleasant.

Probably for the first time on this trip, we had a day with nothing planned, when we could catch up on other things, read books and generally goof off.

Then, at about one in the afternoon, the clouds arrived, as did the breeze, which became wind, which became gale. By nightfall, there was no sunset to see and you wouldn't have wanted to sit outside and see it anyway. Were as the previous night we had to turn of the lights and go to bed early because of the heat and the little sandflies which gained ingress through the screens, this night we were back in flannelette pjs.

We spent the rest of the night under the doona, listening to the wind howl and the van rock and roll in the face of it.
