TOD Tour, Day 33 - Yamba

We spent the afternoon at the Pacific Hotel listening to a duo from the Sunshine Coast, Mistram.

Tim (vocals) and Mars (guitar and vocals) played a range of interesting covers and some outstanding originals. Mars also writes and draws. Their versions of Cohen's "Hallelujah" and the Beatles "Come Together" were pretty hot but it was their originals that enthralled me.

When the gig finished, we made a quick dash back to van to beat an approaching storm. Because the cement pad we are on makes it impossible to anchor the walls of the annex, we had to quickly pull it down off the awning and then set the van onto a "storm footing". A storm footing includes having the van ready to close down in the event of a cyclone!

My repairs have failed to fix the slow leak above the back window, so tomorrow it will be time to call in a "van guy" to have a look. Auto electrician coming tomorrow, as well, to investigate the failure of the fridge on 12V.
