Regular visitors will have noticed changes to Travels With Pete & Sue during the last six months.

We have been experimenting with different layouts, colours and components of the website. We are aware we are a little old fashioned but the tension between how we like to present our stories and how you like to read them will always exist. We have resisted the urge to go with the tablet and smartphone formatting which would see everything on an endless scroll. Instead, we still use links and multiple pages but if that makes us fuddy duddies ... well, that's as may be.
It all appears to work on mobile devices and the links which haven't worked owing to arguments between the Google and Apple, seem to have been resolved, so you should be able to pick up the best of what's on these pages.

We always value your feedback, so let us know how its working on your devices and we'll endeavour to address any issues.

What's new?

We've added the photos of the trip to Western Australia in 2008 and have put links to the photos applicable to each of the posts made on that trip. This will be a new element to past trips.

Currently, we are adding the trip we made with our three kids in 1995, though western Qld, up through the Northern Territory to Kakadu and Darwin and then back down through the Red Centre to South Australia and back to our home base in Tamworth NSW. It was a hallmark trip for us as a family and the things the kids experienced have stayed with them as they have starting to make their own way through adulthood. Keep checking in because it is material that has never been on these pages before.

You'll find it on the tab that says AUC1995 - Australia Under Canvas being the book I published for the family after we returned. It was written on one of the first Apple laptops which were the precursor to what eventually became MACBooks. No internet then; no Facebook or Twitter for updates; and all the photos were taken on film and we waited nervously to see how they turned out when we picked up the prints!
