TOD Tour 2.0 Day 55 - Jabiru to Darwin

Pretty much a driving day today.

It had a humorous start. As we packed up in Jabiru, a family of five wild pigs wandered past. You don't see that often!

We made two stops on the way to Darwin. First was Corroboree Hotel, were a had a good coffee and Sue exercised her back and knee.

Just beyond Adelaide River, we stopped at the Windows on the Wetlands facility, a lovely building on Beatrice Hill, installed by the NT National Parks. The display inside is outstanding and particularly geared at children with interactive opportunities at all the stations. It explains every element of the wetlands that usually surround the hill.

Today, of course, at the end of the dry season, there was nothing by dry earth, much of it burnt in preparation for the coming storms. An excellent facility.

On to Darwin and plans to see all we can.
