Well, after six months of ups and downs, we have finally sold our wonderful traveling friend, our 2016 Avan Cruiseliner. We’ve done 61,000 kms in it, including our favourite trip, the three months we spent in Tassie in 2023.

Like most Avans, ours was highly personalised, with cups of tea and sundowner drinks leading to many modifications and improvements which all added to the quality of our experiences.

We had done 28,000 kms in it predecessor and in our 47 years of being road travelers around Oz, somewhere in the region of 700,000 kms.

We enter into a new phase of our journeys in Australia - likely less expansive and of less duration - but never less enjoyable.

The next step will be to trade our beloved Subaru Forester - our 3rd Forester and 5th Subaru - and follow our philosophies into an electric SUV. Among the quickly expanding plethora of new electric vehicles in that category released just this year, our choice will be a Skoda Elroq …
